What is custom printed scarf?
The history of scarves can be traced back to over 3,000 years ago, and their origins are subject to debate. However, the earliest recorded use of scarves dates back to 1350 BCE in ancient Egypt when Queen Nefertiti wore one around her head. Early scarves had simple patterns printed on them and were often used as decorative items between the hair and jewelry or to display social status. Nevertheless,custom printed scarf truly entered people's lives in 1937 when Hermès celebrated its 100th anniversary by launching its first printed silk scarf designed by Robert Dumas. The print silk scarf featured a woman and a bus printed on imported Chinese mulberry silk fabric, and its vibrant and luxurious quality made it a popular purchase among the aristocracy. In the following years, Hermès hired various artists exclusively for designing scarf patterns for the brand, while many other international luxury brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Burberry also launched custom-printed scarves with their own logos. what are requirements for the design layout and color system ?
Pls make sure files are saved correctly,Create designs with JPEG- or TIFF-formatted, RGB (Adobe 1998),the dpi should be above 180 ,for the double side printing and some complex designs , the dpi should be 300 , It all helps to ensure that the artwork is printed correctly.
Pls make sure your design fit into the printable width of the fabric you have chosen, If it’s too wide some of your artwork will be cut off. before printing , our printer will help check the width of the designs , if any un-workable sizes , we will try to fix it for you ,also we will let you know if we make any adjust for your designs ,And don’t worry, we will contact you should we have any queries regarding your order.
Can I order a sample of the scarf material to see it firsthand?
Yes, we offer available fabric swatches for free. You can also order a sample in your designs or swatch of your prints once your designs have been created.
Can we match Pantone colors?
Absolutely! Just provide your Pantone values when you start your design. Brand guides are also hugely helpful for our designers in understanding how to work with your colors. If you have color specificity but aren't using Pantones, we also offer a ColorMatch Chart printed with over 500 colors to ensure what you see on screen is exactly what you need for your scarves.
Do you ship custom scarves internationally ?
Yes, we can ship custom scarves internationally with DHL ,Fedex ,UPS expedited service ,We offer standard turnarounds based on order size. You can expect delivery to take an additional 3-7 days after shipment, but delays may occur and we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date for any international orders.For an additional rush fee, we also offer expedited turnaround times. Flexible and versatile digital printing and traditional manual screen printing
Print on front side digital printing
The digital printing technology has been rapidly developing since 1990, evolving from the initial four-color machine to later six and eight colors, with over 30 years of technological advancement. Currently, this technology is widely used in the printed scarf and clothing industry and is highly mature and flexible. Whether it's hand-drawn art, photos or digital designs, they can be vividly printed on scarves. Typically, factories only process the front side of the fabric with coating and print on one side while obtaining backside color mainly through dye penetration. Different colors have varying degrees of penetration effect; therefore, we generally recommend using thinner fabrics for better results. This technology offers price advantages and a fast production cycle.
Print on both sides digital printing
This is a new digital printing method that was just established in 2022, different from traditional digital printing methods. It not only prints on the front side but also simultaneously on both sides of the fabric. The factory treats the fabric with coating at the same time, which has advanced technology and a wide range of colors to achieve simultaneous printing on both sides of the fabric. Currently, it can achieve up to 8 colors and over 95% color matching accuracy, easily presenting the desired effects in customer design. We usually recommend using thicker fabrics for double-sided digital printing to avoid color interference between the front and back. Customization allows for one pattern with different color effects on both sides, increasing possibilities when wearing scarves.
Traditional Hand Screen Printing
Screen printing has been in use for over 100 years. Unlike digital printing, which is completed entirely by machines, screen printing is a manual process that requires a lot of setup work from start to finish. Therefore, to ensure cost-effectiveness, screen printing is usually reserved for large volume orders. For smaller orders, digital printing is usually the preferred method.
Screen printing is popular for its finished products with high texture. The coating is thicker and located on the surface of the fabric rather than penetrating the material, and it usually provides a clear, smooth surface.
Natural fibers are ideal candidates for screen printing because they often absorb ink better than synthetic fibers - so for this reason, silk screen printing is perfect.
