The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the oldest traditional festival of the Chinese nation .the Dragon Boat Festival also know as the end of May ,in addtion,there are many nicknames,the Dragon Boat Festival such as :Good afternoon ,section ,section Five ,May Festival,Bath Festival ,Daughter of Festival ,Festival Days, to LA,Poet Festival,Dragon etc .Although the names are different ,but generally speacking ,people around the holiday with different customs or more .

In ancient China, people believed that there were more mosquitoes, insects, and snakes in May, so they would give children fragrant pouches on the last day of the month to repel insects. Adults would drink realgar wine. These practices were all aimed at protecting oneself from insect pests.

Regarding the fragrant pouches, they were usually made of plant materials with fragrant scents, such as wormwood and cinnamon, and were placed in cloth bags and hung on clothes or placed nearby. This would release fragrant scents to repel mosquitoes and other insects.

As for realgar wine, it is a traditional Chinese herbal wine that was believed to have warding off evil and misfortune in ancient times. People believed that drinking realgar wine could protect them from evil forces.
